2 Delta employees were killed, and another person was injured following an explosion at the Delta maintenance facility near Atlanta airport.

The incident occurred when a tire from a Boeing 757-200 plane exploded during maintenance.

Delta and local authorities are investigating.

Delta: 

"The Delta family is heartbroken at the loss of two team members and the injury of another following an incident this morning at the Atlanta Technical Operations Maintenance facility."
