本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I found the family was mysterious. Unlike most of the Chinese new immigrant families, they were quite well off -- it seemed. On one hand, they could live in a new country just like fish in water. On the other hand, they didn't know the dangers of exposing themselves to some aspects of life over which they didn't have control. That was the reason for the dreadful thing that happened to them. What was disappointing to me was that people here didn't want to see things for what they were. Nobody knows for sure if heaven exists but we all could imagine the little girl had the most tragic and terrible death. After all that happened nobody shed even the least insight as to how it could happen and what were the lessons others could learn from it.
It seemed Chinese have a tendency to play a kind of persona, to hide their true belief and personality behind a mask. The people you had described in your articles all wear some kind of makeup to cover their true selves.
I dare to make myself unpopular here by not being like others to romanticize the tragedy. I call a spade a spade.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
